If you’re like me, you might not have paid any attention to Drakantos, but I have to pay attention to it this week because it’s opened up its weekend CBT, and it actually looks pretty. That’s not fair. Things I’m not paying attention to aren’t supposed to look pretty, because then I can be disappointed!
Speaking of things that look pretty and will hopefully not disappoint me, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has opened its test signups. Meanwhile, the newly officially licensed EverQuest server Project Quarm is running a test on Saturday. Speaking of things that look at least tangentially like EverQuest, Monsters and Memories has a test running this weekend. And speaking of things that I was in absolutely no way speaking of prior to now, we say farewell to Supervive and Wildgate, two multiplayer games that depart our beta pages as they launched this week.
If you scroll down, will you see our roundup of beta news from this week? Yes. Our full list of games in testing is below that. Speaking of scrolling down, you can keep scrolling down to the comments and let us know if something is missing from the list or needs to be updated.

League of Legends fighting game 2XKO confirms 24/7 closed beta for PC starting September 9

We consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s often under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions. Finally, we’ll mark games “malingering” if they’ve been in a certain tier of development for a long time with no clear path to launch.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.
